Atlanta Magic Theater, Atlanta’s longest running show and the highest rated show and nightlife entertainment option on Trip Advisor, stars magician Pete Morrison, whose world class sleight of hand and nostalgic performance style has earned him headlining spots at some of the nation’s most prestigious venues, including The Magic Castle in Hollywood, Calif.
No stranger to the spotlight, veteran magician Morrison has performed over 6,000 touring shows across the country for the past 20 years. Following a successful run at his own theater, The Marrakech Magic Theater (which he opened in 2010) in San Francisco, Peter moved to the south to share his unique talent with a whole new market.
Atlanta Magic Theater, with curtain times on Fridays at 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 6:30 pm and 9:30 p.m., is hosted at the beautiful Embassy Suites in Downtown Atlanta (located just to the left off the main atrium inside the hotel). The intimate 40 person-theater space provides “a best seat in the house” to see his flawless sleight of hand tricks and mind-blowing illusions.
Blending clean comedy, elegant presentation and a completely original brand of mentalism that leaves you completely spellbound, The Atlanta Magic Theater’s content-packed 75 minute show is an experience unlike anything else you’ll find in Georgia’s capital.
A consummate professional and quick-on-his feet showman, Morrison seamlessly transitions from one genre of magic to the next, while engaging the crowd (which was almost completely sold out when I attended), often calling volunteers onstage for various illusions and vanishing acts.
Audiences are even able to “star” in the show without leaving their seats. During the show, our “Must Sees” photographer, Lynn (my mom) was incorporated into the mind reading portion of the show. After she thought of the name of a resort and wrote it down on a piece of paper, Morrison quoted verbatim what she wrote…all the way from the stage.
Prepare to be, at once, awestruck and bewildered, wondering just how he does it.
Drawing inspiration from magic icons such as Houdini that is sure to please even the most discerning magic aficionado, and incorporating modern day tricks sure to delight the kids, this show is a perfect outing for people of all ages.
Seating is extremely limited, and tickets sell very quickly, so be sure to reach out early in the week to ensure you have a space.
A designated pre-performance area is available outside the venue, where guests are given the exclusive opportunity approximately 90 minutes prior to the show, to pick up tickets at will call, chat with the star of the show and enjoy a little personalized up close magic.

VIP Tickets to the show guarantee a front row seat, and general admission seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Should you choose to visit the fabulous Ruth’s Chris Steak House (located directly across from the theater space, through the atrium), you are permitted to bring your beverage in the venue to sip while you enjoy the show.
