Janelle Funari takes her show to Paris

New York designer Janelle Funari took her vision across the Atlantic to participate in this season’s Paris Fashion Week shows.

Not only did she bring a bevy of women to the catwalk, she brought the pups in front of the bright lights of fashion.

For the humans, Funari unveiled a collection of lingerie to accompany her line of dresses and jackets.

In a press release, Funari said, “This season, the line (which is eco-friendly) is complete with flattering, feminine and versatile pieces with a masculine flare, a retro 70s feel and a callback to historical fashion. The colors are muted yet vivid in mustard, dusty pink, robin’s egg blue, teal, gold and black remains as the core color of the Funari brand. Our exclusive print of the season is a distorted hand painted abstract artwork in teal and hot pink hues.”

The French fashion fans also got to check out Funari’s pet collection. Funari said the line for pups was launched in 2014 when she was looking for clothes for her French bulldog, Maxine. Nothing fit her pet, so Funari began to use leftover fabric to craft something befitting her beloved French bulldog. From there, the line expanded to fit every pup looking for a little couture in their life.
