There was a royal summit in Southington, Conn. this past week to rekindle a friendship and to stoke a rivalry.
Ms. US Universal Kristina Marinkovich is from Pennsylvania. Mrs. US Universal Kimberly Beaudoin is from Southington, Conn.
And when they competed last year in Nevada, they developed a friendship.
But in terms of sports, there is a definite rivalry. For instance, Kim is fan of the New England Patriots. Kristina supports the Pats’ rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Even in minor league baseball, the duo are on a divide. Kim, a resident of Hartford County, is a fan of the Hartford Yard Goats. Kristina is a fan of their Eastern League rivals, the Erie Sea Wolves.
And when the opportunity came for the two teams to square off at Dunkin’ Donuts Park, the two representatives of the US Universal pargeant system pulled on their jerseys and showed their allegiance from the mound when they threw out the first pitch for the May 11 game in Hartford.
Earlier in the day, Kim and Kristina showed their sports colors for a fashion shoot. They also showed off their titleholder style for the cameras.
