Evoking superheroes that would do Black Widow proud and stealthy foreign spies that would give Sean Connery’s James Bond fits, fashion designer Janelle Funari New York (JanelleFunariNewYork.com) has referenced the powerful woman in her collection, confident in her abilities and confident in her femininity.
Using Funari’s DUMBO-based shop on 145 Water St., Brooklyn, models Yasmine Forte of Connecticut and Halee Delavan of New York took the streets by storm wearing the sleek fashions of the renowned designer. Catsuits and bikinis were the uniforms of the day.
Sometimes the dynamic modeling duo was accompanied by Maxine, Funari’s French bulldog – a charming sidekick dressed in matching power doggie clothes.
Styled by Janelle Funari.
