Although the fashion commandment has been largely debunked, wearing white before Memorial Day and after Labor Day once was considered verboten.

Now we realize that the dictum was more of a product of practicality and classism. You can’t wear white if you’re doing hard labor. And the old rich never did hard labor, so they could wear that forbidden white.

Model Dallas Mills doesn’t care one way or another. She liked this outfit and even if it’s not Memorial Day, the holiday is clearly within sight on the calendar.
