ORLANDO– The big style story about Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen on Wednesday was the hair.

Connecticut fashion icon Samantha Anderson, Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen, was rocking the high ponytail as she took the stage.

The look was functional as she took to the stage this night at the Orange County Convention Stage to compete in Lifestyle and Fitness. For this event, contestants were dressed in identical athletic gear and shoes from Skechers. With so much navy blue, the ponytail gave Samantha a distinctive look among the curled draping locks favored by a lot of girls.

The ponytail also gave Samantha a bit of a throwback feel as she stepped out onto stage in the A-Line skirt dress from designer Tony Bowls.

And later, when she pulled out a teal evening gown to pose with photographs with her Princesses as well as the reigning Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Allie Nault and Miss America Betsy Cantrell.
